	Interior Design and Decoration
	The Felbrigg Design Company was established over 16 years ago and we have a long list of design projects that we have been involved in. These include Georgian and Victorian houses, contemporary houses and apartments, a castle, a 1725 thatched cottage and conservatories, bathrooms and a billiard room. We also decorate hotels, restaurants, spas and a gentleman's clubhouse. Initial consultations are completely free of charge and we are prepared to offer a substantial amount of speculative work prior to a formal appointment so that we completely understand the brief. Not only is it important that our clients feel comfortable with our ability and style but we must also feel that there is something that we can add to the ideas the client may already have. Some of our clients have wanted to have little or no involvement having agreed the style and the price whilst others want to be completely involved in every stage of the project.

	Our Style
	Like many interior design companies we specialise in certain styles although generally we can all work on most projects. In the 1980's we were very much into the English County House style but this changed through the 1990's into a more eclectic style which is based on the English look but includes contemporary influences. We now often mix traditional fabrics with contemporary furniture and paintings or create a minimalist feel for the interior with stark colours or a pared down use of furniture.

	Our Fees
	We usually work on a fixed price basis after the scope of works has been agreed. We have never had to go back to a client to ask for a higher fee unless the job specification changed. Generally, the saving that we can pass on to our clients by purchasing fabrics, wallpapers furniture etc at trade prices compensates for the fee we charge.

	Size doesn’t matter
	We are very happy to discuss the covering of an armchair or make a pair of curtains. There will not be a fee for locating the right fabrics and trimmings (see out sourcing service) if you purchase the goods through us. The smallest job we did was find half a metre of the right coloured silk to cover a footstool for a client!
	Over the Internet
	We are pleased to receive decorating instructions via email. This can be done very successfully by transmitting photographs and measurements of the rooms you want decorated. We offer a complementary appraisal of the room and give you our initial suggestions. We decorated an apartment in New York by this method and the result was very successful. The advantage is also that the cost is kept down as we can remain in the office therefore maximising the use of our time.
